Local Students Use Art To Help The Hungry: Report
A very creative way to make the world a better place.

Students at Malvern Prep are taking their ceramics class to a whole new level.
Seeking a way to have arts classes leave a more lasting impression, Malvern Prep teacher Kate Plows helped the school become involved with Empty Bowls, a national campaign to end hunger, according to a report.
Students sold the clay bowls they made in the class, and donated the profits to the Bethesda Proejct, a homeless shelter in Philadelphia, according to Philly.com.

“If you’re good at football, find a way to make your experience as a football player make a difference,” Plows told Philly.com. ”If you’re good at math - and I’m not good at math, so I’m stretching here - try to find a smart way to make the world a little bit better through math.”
Over the last six years, over $69,000 has been raised.
