How do puzzles, gaming, kayaking, hiking and bird watching help battle Alzheimer's disease? They do when a local women's group decides to participate in THE LONGEST DAY, a fundraiser that will take place this Sat, June 21st, the day of the summer solstice (the longest day of the year). A group of women from St. Peter's Episcopal church in Glenside will be on the move -- physically and mentally ALL DAY Sat from sunrise to sunset, all in an effort to raise funds for Alzheimer's and dementia research. In the United States someone develops Alzheimer's every 67 seconds.
