Man Charged With Multiple Child Sex Abuse Offenses In Abington

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 38-year-old Ambler resident has been charged with multiple felony offenses following a multi-agency investigation into the sexual exploitation of female minors, police said.

Deren Thach faces charges including sexual abuse of children, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor, authorities said.

The investigation began in December 2025 when the Abington Township Police Department received information regarding a male suspect soliciting a minor female for sexual acts and sexually explicit images in the Willow Grove section of the township.

Investigators identified Thach as the suspect and determined there were additional victims involved.

On March 6, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at Thach’s apartment located in Ambler, police said.

During the search, officers seized digital evidence for analysis related to child sexual assault material and other criminal activity. Based on the findings from that analysis, authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

Thach turned himself in to the Abington Township Police Department on March 12. He was arraigned, and bail was set at $100,000 cash.

Officials stated the investigation remains ongoing at this time. Detectives are currently asking anyone with additional information regarding this investigation to come forward.
