ABINGTON, PA -- One man was shot by an armed robber at the Abington 7-11 early in the morning on Tuesday, according to Abington Township police.
The incident occurred at about 1:35 a.m.
The suspect, a black male of medium height and build with a white cloth wrapped around his face, entered the store and immediately confronted the lone employee, police said.

The man was carrying a black hand gun, and the employee tried to knock the gun away, according to police.
The suspect shot the employee once in the leg, and then shot at him a second time but missed, police said.

The suspect then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, where he is recovering.
Abington Police would also like to talk to a possible witness who was in the store shortly before the crime occurred. He is pictured in the second image above.
