Mark Wasson Creates the Best Environment for Learning

Adapts lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of all learners

North Wales, PA (December 1, 2016) – Mark Wasson, from Willow Grove, PA, has joined Lakeside as a full-time Substitute Instructor for Lakeside School located in North Wales, PA.

"Mark possesses a positive and enthusiastic personality and challenges his students to strive to reach a new level of thinking,” says Peter Dillard, program director of Lakeside School. “He creates his lessons to inspire and engage the students to critically think about themselves, society and the world around them. He has a great rapport with students and a strong working member of our team.”

Wasson earned his bachelor of science in Secondary Education Social Studies and Biblical Studies from Cairn University, Langhorne, PA. He is certified PA Instructional I Social Studies 7-12 grades.

“I enjoy the atmosphere here,” says Wasson. “Everyone always seems calm and friendly, which helps to make things inviting and welcoming for both the staff and the students.”

Prior to Lakeside School, Wasson worked as a teacher for the Philadelphia School System at Morrison Elementary School and Parkway West High School.

Lakeside, a long-standing nonprofit serving the needs of over 2500 students annually throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, provides a range of therapeutic educational programs and services. Lakeside School is currently serving several school districts in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties.
