Masked Robbers Steal Cash, Phones From Abington Chipotle: Cops

The on-duty manager was taking trash out the back door when two masked men threatened him.

Police are on the hunt for two masked suspects who allegedly robbed a Chipotle on Moreland Road in Abington on Saturday night.

At about 11:12 p.m. on October 10, the on-duty manager was taking cardboard out through the back door when the two men approached him and threatened him, Abington police said.

They did not display any weapons at the time.

The first suspect was a black male wearing a black, flat-brimmed baseball cap and a black, hard plastic mask covering the lower half of his face.

The second suspect was a black male who wore a letterman style jacket with gray sleeves and dark pants. He had a black cloth wrapped around his face.

The men had the manager open the safe for them, and stole an unknown amount of money and two cordless phones, police said.

The suspects told the manager to stay in the office and they fled out the back door, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

It’s unknown at this time if they arrived with a vehicle or in what direction they fled.
