Mother Shot, Killed In Front Of Young Son At Drive-Thru, Suspect Sought: Montco DA
The victim's child was in the back seat at a Dunkin drive-thru when the suspect walked up and fired several deadly shots, police said.

CHELTENHAM, PA — The woman who was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Montgomery County has been identified by authorities, and police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the suspects.
The incident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. in the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru in Cheltenham's Melrose Shopping Center.
Surveillance videos show a light-colored sedan, possibly a Ford or Mercury, following the victim, 35-year-old Elkins Park resident Rachel King, into the parking lot. King's 11-year-old son was in the back seat of her car.

While King was in the drive-thru, a man exited the car that followed her, walked up to her car, and fired several shots inside the driver's side window, police said. King was pronounced dead at the scene.

“This appears to be a targeted murder of a mother," Montgomery County DA Kevin Steele said in a statement. "The (suspect) did not attempt to open the victim’s vehicle door, nor did he appear to communicate with her prior to shooting her numerous times through her driver’s side window,
The shooter then fled the scene in his sedan, and was last seen heading eastbound on Cheltenham Avenue.
Police described the man as a thin, with light-colored pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.
Motive, and circumstances leading up to the shooting, remain unclear.
King's child was not injured.
