Muddy Angels Stop in Montco
Muddy Angels are riding from Boston to Alexandria to honor EMS workers
Nearly 90 bicyclists stopped in Whitpain on their journey from Boston to Alexandria, Va. yesterday afternoon. The Muddy Angels, started their trip on Friday in Boston and will finish the tour of the east cost on Friday in Alexandria. Along the way, they rode through Rhode Island, New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The group rides to honor the EMS workers who have died in the line of duty and advocate for safety of emergency services equipment and healthy emergency service workers.

Riders are from all over the country. In the past riders from Canada, Germany and Ireland have joined the Muddy Angels in the sojourn.
Jim Perkins, Public Information Officer for Muddy Angels, said most of the EMS workers for which they ride have suffered a cardiac arrest while on duty.

The east coast ride is an annual event and Perkins said the riders always stop at a Second Alarmers Station in the area. This is the first time they have stopped at the Whitpain SARS station.
