Murder at Lynnewood Gardens
A man fatally stabs his ex-wife in the abdomen in a Lynnewood Gardens apartment, according to police.

A Cheltenham man fatally stabbed his ex-wife yesterday in a Lynnewood Gardens Apartment, according to police.
Clive S. Thompson, 28, of the 2000 block of North John Russell Circle, Elkins Park, was arrested yesterday after he allegedly stabbed his ex-wife, Olivia Thompson, in the abdomen with an 11-inch butcher-style knife, according to the criminal complaint.
Olivia Thompson was found on the bed in the master bedroom of her apartment at 2098 N. John Russell Circle at about 12:30 a.m. June 28. According to the criminal complaint, she was bleeding from a large wound to her upper abdomen; she was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Olivia Thompson was listed as 36 years old in the criminal complaint, but listed as 26 years old in the Cheltenham police press release.
According to the criminal complaint, a witness told police that Clive and Olivia Thompson had their divorce finalized in March. Another witness said Olivia Thompson was giving Clive Thompson to the end of July to move out of the apartment.

Another witness, who was outside of the North John Russell Circle apartment, heard Olivia Thompson scream “Get out” at “the top of her lungs” at about 11:45 p.m. on June 27, according to the report.
According to the Cheltenham Police press release, detectives interviewed a friend of the defendant who told police he received a call from Clive Thompson. According to the press release, the defendant told his friend that he had stabbed Olivia, and the defendant asked his friend to come to the apartment.
When the friend arrived, he found Olivia Thompson “bleeding severely from the abdomen.” Clive Thompson had already fled.
The defendant’s friend called 9-1-1.
According to the criminal complaint, Clive Thompson arrived at the Cheltenham Township Administration building parking lot yesterday at 10:22 a.m., where he was arrested.
According to the criminal complaint, Clive Thompson said, “I am here to turn myself in, and I am sorry I did it, so sorry.”
Clive Thompson was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christopher J. Cerski and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 7 at 9:30 a.m. at 8230 Old York Road, Elkins Park.
