Residents must park with the flow of traffic on any street that has two-way traffic allowed.

That means the passenger side of a vehicle should be adjacent to the curb, not the driver’s side.

This is a safety violation.

On any one-way street, you must park where allowed with the flow of traffic.

"We want to make our community safe and prevent a potentially dangerous situation from occurring on our streets," Scott said. "Please park with the flow of traffic on all of our streets."

The chief said police are also addressing permit parking violations.

The Jenkintown Police Department and Borough Council have received concerns and have/will be discussing revisions to improve the parking permit program.

Police ask residents to update their parking permits for 2024.

The permit must be displayed while parked on permitted parking streets within the borough.
