EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — What a winter!

We were blasted by sub-zero temperatures that chilled our bones this past weekend, with wicked winds that slapped us all in the face, reminding us of the wrath of Mother Nature. Maybe all of this snow from weeks ago will finally melt, and maybe we won't get any more. Maybe.

In the meantime, we look forward to warmer weather and thoughts of spring, with the Philadelphia Phillies starting spring training in Florida. Lucky them!

So here's a new feature we will try to do now and then, where we offer some news nuggets that don't get their own attention, some interesting tidbits mentioned throughout eastern Montgomery County communities, some honorable mentions, and some other things we will throw into the kitchen sink:

Black History Month

This Black History Month, Horsham Township is honoring the life and legacy of Maya Angelou, a poet, author, activist, and powerful voice for truth, resilience, and dignity. Through her words, Maya Angelou inspired generations to rise above adversity with courage and grace.

Want To Work For A State Representative?

State Rep. Melissa Cerrato said her Horsham office will be accepting applications in mid-March for one full-time intern (30 hours/week) or two part-time interns (splitting 38 hours/week) to join Team 151, in which Cerrato represents the 151st Legislative District.

To be eligible, applicants must: Be 18 or older, live within the 151st District, and be available for a 10-week internship session (Most interns choose to renew and stay with us for up to a year).
