No Millage Increase In Proposed 2024 Abington Township Budget
If the 2024 budget is adopted as it stands, it will mark the third year without the township increasing property taxes.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Township officials are starting the 2024 budget process, and property owners will be pleased with the proposed millage rate.
The 2023 preliminary proposed budget was presented last week during a township Board of Commissioners work session.
As it stands, the budget's general fund revenues and expenditures are balanced.

The total 2024 budget for all operating and capital funds is $77,343,126.

If passed in its current form, 2024 will mark the third consecutive year of no property tax increased imposed by the township.
The budget's millage rate is 5.922 mills.
2022's budget was the last time a rate increase was imposed.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, the Board of Commissioners will consider adopting the 2024 proposed budget.
Then at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, the board will consider final adoption of the budget.
The meeting schedule is subject to change, depending on revisions as a result of the Board of Commissioners and public comment.
