Nursing Home Public Hearing Resumes In Abington

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Board of Commissioners were meeting on Tuesday to resume a public hearing regarding a proposed life care facility and nursing home at 1209 Rydal Road.

The meeting takes place at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Abington Township Municipal Building.

Commissioners are expected to take action on Willow Grove-based Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC’s application requesting Conditional Use approval pursuant to Section 301 of the Abington Township Zoning Ordinance to permit Use E-10: Life Care Facility (Continuing Care) and Use E-12: Nursing Home in the R-1 Low-Density Residential Zoning District, a public notice states.

Chaverim Realty Partners LLC purchased the property in 2019 for $600,000. The 7.79-acre, 5,000 sq estate has five bedrooms, 5 full/3 half bathrooms, and 24 parking spaces.
