PennDOT Work Impacting Abington Roads This Week

Milling and paving work, as well as utility work, will impact traffic on two roads in Abington Township this week.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — PennDOT work will impact traffic on two Abington Township roads this week.

Overnight and during the daytime this week, Old Welsh Road will have lane closures due to milling, paving, and utility adjustments.

The closure will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

PennDOT said the affected portion of road is between Route 63/Edge Hill Road and Fitzwatertown Road.

And Old York Road will have a lane closure in both directions, Monday through Friday.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drivers will encounter the closure between Rydal Way and Susquehanna Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
