In the span of just a few hours, a Pennsylvania woman went from more than 350 pounds to right around 170 pounds.

That's because Mary Clancey, 71, of St. Clair in Schuylkill County, wasn't just overweight. She was living her everyday life assuming she was just overweight, when in reality, a massive, 140-pound tumor had ballooned in one of her ovaries, according to multiple media reports.

"Mary's struggle with her weight seemed common enough until a MRI ordered by her doctors led to a shocking discovery," the Lehigh Valley Health Network said.

Doctors had initially thought the weight was fat because the mass had filled her abdomen, according to WFMZ.

When they brought her in for the operation, doctors at Lehigh Valley pushed two tables together: one for Clancey herself, and one for the massive tumor, WNEP reports.

"For four days after that surgery, I can't describe it. It felt like something was empty. My body didn't feel right. I guess I was so used to carrying that weight that I felt totally different," Clancey told Pennsylvania ABC affiliate WNEP.

Five hours later, once doctors removed 40 pounds of excess skin, Clancey had lost a total of 180 pounds. She has since trimmed down to 147 pounds, reports state.

She said that now she looks forward to being more mobile, gardening and showing off her new body.
