Philadelphia Airport Workers To Strike, Reports Say

Workers at seven airports around the nation are reportedly planning a coordinated walk-out. Will it affect Thanksgiving flights?

Workers at Philadelphia International Airport are among employees at seven airports nationwide that are going on strike beginning Wednesday night, according to reports.

Around 2,000 plane cleaners, baggage handlers, and other workers are planning the strike due to poor wages and threats against the idea of unionizing, Reuters said.

In addition to Philadelphia, the strike will hit New York’s Kennedy and LaGuardia airports, as well as Newark Liberty, Chicago O’Hare, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale, the report states.
