Philly Man Robs 2 Abington Banks In 5 Days: Police
Abington Police said they nabbed Dennis Wilson of Philadelphia after Old York Road bank robberies Thursday and Monday.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A Philadelphia man robbed two township banks over five days before being apprehended, police said.
Dennis Wilson of Philadelphia has been charged with the two bank robberies, the Abington Township Police Department said.
At 12:18 p.m. last Thursday, Abington Police responded to PNC Bank at 808 Old York Road for the report of a robbery.

A man had entered the bank and presented a handwritten demand note. He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
Following the robbery, the suspect solicited a ride from an uninvolved citizen.

At 4:27 p.m. Monday, Abington Police responded to TD Bank at 710 Old York Road for the report of another robbery.
Police said that once again, a man entered the bank and presented a handwritten demand note.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot before getting a ride from another uninvolved citizen.
Officers from Abington, Jenkintown, and Cheltenham Townships searched the area for Wilson.
He was located a short distance from the bank and all the stolen money was recovered, police said.
Police collected evidence connecting Wilson to both robberies.
He is being held at The Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $50,077 cash bail.
