Philly Region Commute Made 'Hazardous' By Dense Fog, Advisory Issued

Poor visibility, of a quarter-mile or less, is expected to significantly impact the morning commute.

Things might be a little hard to see on the morning commute Monday.

The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory Sunday evening at 9:46 p.m.

The advisory will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Monday morning, they said on their website.

The advisory covers most of the Delaware Valley region and even extends into Maryland. Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties are all included in the advisory.

The fog developed overnight on Sunday into Monday morning. The dense air is expected to clear by late morning.

Drivers are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead before the next car.
