Plastic Bag Ban Floated In Abington Township
A meeting next week will have information and resident feedback on the proposed Single-Use Plastics and Polystyrene Products Ban Ordinance.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Single-use plastics could be banned in Abington Township if a proposed ordinance moves ahead.
Abington Township’s Environmental Advisory Council recommended a Single-Use Plastics and Polystyrene Products Ban Ordinance.
The council and the Office of the Township Manager are holding an administrative public information meeting on the proposal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23.

During the meeting, the Environmental Advisory Council will present information on their recommendation, be available to answer questions, and collect feedback from the public.

The meeting will be held in the 2nd Floor Board Room of the Abington Township Building, 1176 Old York Road in Abington.
