Police Memorial Day In Abington Twp. Set For Saturday
The Abington Township Police Department will recognize two fallen heroes at a memorial event on June 1.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Police Department marked the start of National Police Week on Monday by remembering two police officers.
The police department said it was paying tribute to "two of Abington’s very own heroes for their dedication and sacrifice."
The department named the two as Police Officer Thomas Mathews and Constable Daniel J. O’Brien.

"Their names are forever ingrained in our hearts and the National Law Enforcement Memorial," the department said in a Facebook post. "Their selflessness knows no bounds, and they will always hold a special place in our memories."

The police department said it would celebrate the officers' lives on June 1 during its APD Police Memorial Day event.
