PWAT Jenkintown to Host Fundraising Event for Philadelphia Komen 3-Day Walk

Painting with a Twist, an art and social studio in Jenkintown will host a Painting with a Purpose charity event on August 23rd, 2015 to benefit Komen Philadelphia 3-Day Walk. The event will be held from 1pm-4pm in our Warhol Room and will cost $45 per person. To sign up, click here.

Each month, franchisees from across the nation hold monthly painting fundraisers through the Painting with a Purpose program to benefit local charities. For this event, 60% of the proceeds ($27.50 of each ticket) will be donated to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk in Philadelphia. To date, Painting with a Twist studios have raised $1 million for local charities.

“We’re delighted to partner with The Breastfeeding Resource Center to help raise funds and increase awareness,” says Christine Trapaga, Co-Owner. “Community involvement is of utmost importance to us – we are thrilled to be helping a local group in need.”

Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® help support Susan G. Komen®’s Research and Training Grant Program and large public health outreach programs for women and men facing breast cancer. The remaining 25 percent helps fund local community and Affiliate support and outreach programs.

In addition to supporting the local community, Painting with a Twist of Jenkintown also offers private parties for corporate outings, bachelorette parties, sorority functions, date nights and special events.
