Radio Legend Pierre Robert Record Collection For Sale In Glenside
Vinyl Chickie will sell the legendary late Philadelphia DJ's record collection on "Record Shoppe Day" on April 18.

GLENSIDE, PA — While Vinyl Chickie, as a new business, is not eligible to participate in Record Store Day on April 18, its owner has announced a special promotion for that day.
After selling his Christmas CDs over the holiday season, the record collection of the late legendary Philadelphia radio legend Pierre Robert will be on sale on "Record Shoppe Day."
"I have an announcement that is bigger than me, my store, my community, my hometown of Philly, and beyond," Owner Lisa Schaffer said.

Schaffer said that in December she bid and purchased Robert's personal record and CD collection from his home.
"My offer was accepted from his estate, close friends & family and the records were put in my car that day," she said. "The records were checked, cleaned, valued, and priced fairly."

Schaffer created a custom sticker for the outer sleeve of the albums for a personal touch.
"This is emotional, and heavy, and took a lot of work and planning, and I am so incredibly lucky to be the one that gets to share this collection with his friends and fans," she said.
Vinyl Chickie will sell the collection starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18.
There will be a limit of 1-2 Robert collection records per person/family.
The day will be filled with special guest DJs on the turntables, silent actions, raffles, live music, and more.
