Resurfacing Work Closing Lanes On 2 Abington Roads Next Week

Daytime and overnight closures will affect traffic on two major roadways in Abington Township, according to PennDOT.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Overnight and daytime lane closures will impact two Abington Township roads next week, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT crews will be doing resurfacing work next week on Route 73/Township Line Road and Route 323/Oxford Avenue/Huntingdon Pike in Abington and Cheltenham.

7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning, Sunday through Thursday — a lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between the Cheltenham Township line and the Philadelphia line in Cheltenham and Abington townships for milling;

7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Sunday through Thursday — a lane closure is scheduled on Route 232 (Oxford Avenue/Huntingdon Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and the Abington Township line in Rockledge Borough for milling;

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday — a lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between the Cheltenham Township line and the Philadelphia line in Cheltenham and Abington townships for utility adjustments; and

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday — a lane closure is scheduled on Route 232 (Oxford Avenue/Huntingdon Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and the Abington Township line in Rockledge Borough for utility adjustments.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur.
