Riding SEPTA Over The Holidays? Here's What You Need To Know

As the holidays rapidly approach, many residents will get around the area aboard public transportation. Here's a glance at how SEPTA's schedule is altered around the holidays, and what else you need to know.

Fare collection, office hours, and ticket inspection hours are changed from Christmas Eve through New Years Day. Reference this schedule for details.

For many lines, like Manayunk/Norristown, this means limited service, with trains leaving once every two hours between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.

For other lines, like Trenton or Glenside/University City, it just means an altered schedule, with many trains running throughout the day.

Meanwhile, buses, trains, and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day.

On New Year's Eve, regional rail trains typically offer a special late night schedule, while buses, trains, and trolleys operate on a Sunday schedule. Exact details on this schedule have not yet been announced by SEPTA.
