ROCKLEDGE BOROUGH, PA —Police are seeking a woman who robbed the Rita's Italian Ice location on Monday night.
Rockledge Police Chief John Gallagher said that around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, police officers responded to a radio call for what turned out to be a robbery at Rita's Water Ice at Huntingdon Pike and Church Rd.

The woman then walked west, crossed over Church Road, and possibly entered a vehicle (make and model is unknown at this time) that was parked on the road, police said.
The vehicle went south towards Township Line, but it is unknown if the vehicle turned left onto Loney Street or Borbeck Street or continued straight towards Abington and then into Cheltenham.
Pictures, videos, and other images from the video surveillance system at Rita's, along with a description provided by an employee, revealed the offender to be a black woman in her 30s or 40s, 5'5" tall, 165-170 lbs., wearing a black or dark-colored hooded jacket with a zipper, black or dark-colored shirt, black or dark-colored baggy pants, and black and white sneakers.
She had a surgical-style black mask partially covering her face and black latex gloves completely covering her hands. She appeared to have a light complexion, and her hair had a blondish look to it, the chief said.
The crime scene was processed, and Rockledge Police and Abington Police K9 teams searched the surrounding area for the suspect, accomplices, vehicles, and any items of evidentiary value.
On Tuesday, police conducted in-person foot patrols, property checks, and area checks to notify retail establishments about the robbery, particularly those businesses that are open late or 24 hours, the chief said.
