Intermittent daytime closures will affect five local streets as final overlay restoration work begins on Wednesday, officials said.

Residents on those blocks are expected to retain access, while other drivers are being urged to seek alternate routes during the closure periods.

Residents who live on the affected blocks will still be able to get to their homes, according to the borough. Even so, the notice said there may be intermittent delays while the work is underway.

The borough is asking drivers to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the work hours to avoid travel disruptions. The closures are described as intermittent and temporary, rather than full-day shutdowns of the listed streets.

The notice did not say how long the restoration work will continue beyond Wednesday. It also did not provide a more detailed block-by-block schedule for when each street segment may be closed.
