Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett To Perform at Glenside's Keswick Theater

Pioneering Americana music is coming to Glenside.

Americana music pioneers Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett will co-headline a night at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside on Thursday, October 6.

In 2015, Robert Earl Keen released his first ever Bluegrass project Happy Prisoner: The Bluegrass Sessions, a press release promoting the event states. The album was produced by Grammy winning record producer and musician Lloyd Maines and quickly became a Billboard chart-topper. The critically acclaimed project earned Keen Billboard's 2015 No. 2 Bluegrass Artist and No. 2 Bluegrass Album of the Year. The BMI Troubadour Award winner is now gearing up to share his biggest hits and stories behind the songs on the intimate acoustic stage with friend and periodic co-writer, Lovett, the release states.

Keen has been inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame and has written songs for music superstars George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, The Highwaymen, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, Nanci Griffith among others, the press release states.

"He's writing shortened and spiced up songs for music lovers with little time and therefore an abbreviated attention span," promoters said. 'These clever works of art are no longer that 90 seconds and Keen's audiences can't get enough."
