Route 73 Resurfacing Planned This Week In Cheltenham
PennDOT said the roadwork begins on Monday and lasts throughout the week.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Two resurfacing projects are planned in the township this week starting on Monday.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Church Road between Township Line Road and Route 73 (Washington Lane) in Cheltenham Township for paving.
- Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Ashbourne Road/Montgomery Avenue/Central Avenue between Washington Lane and Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) in Cheltenham Township for milling.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the resurfacing operations are planned this week on four state highways in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
