School Closings Reported In Eastern Montco

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — With this weekend's storm bringing heavy snow accumulations to the region, all schools in eastern Montgomery County will be closed on Monday.

Many will have remote learning days following Sunday's storm after already using their traditional snow days due to earlier storms this winter.

Here's the list of what school districts have planned for Monday:

• Abington School District — Abington School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday due to the blizzard.
• Cheltenham School District — The Cheltenham School District schools and offices will be closed. Monday will be a remote learning day. All school buildings will be closed, and all activities are canceled. All staff will work virtually. The facilities team, which is responsible for snow removal, will receive direction from CSD Director of Facilities and Maintenance Anthony Carter.Any change in normal operations will be communicated through the usual channels prior to the start of the school day on Tuesday.
• Hatboro-Horsham School District — The Hatboro-Horsham School District is closed on Monday for a virtual learning day. Tuesday. All after-school and evening events are canceled. The Eastern Center for Arts and Technology will also operate virtually. The School Board meeting originally scheduled for Monday evening has been rescheduled to Monday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Keith Valley Middle School. Twelve-month district staff will work remotely. Essential employees, including maintenance and custodial personnel, will receive direction from their supervisor.
• Jenkintown School District — The Jenkintown School District will be closed on Monday. All district-sponsored activities, athletics, and events scheduled for Monday are canceled. There will be a Flexible Instruction Day. Only essential personnel should be in district buildings. The district will continue to monitor conditions closely and keep families updated.
• Upper Dublin School District — All Upper Dublin School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday. All after-school activities and events utilizing district facilities are also canceled.
• Upper Moreland Township School District — All Upper Moreland schools and offices will be closed Monday. It will be a traditional snow day. Additionally, all after-school activities will be canceled.
