School Plans Unveiled Tuesday In Eastern Montco

School districts in eastern Montgomery County are still coping with the impact of Sunday's blizzard.

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The impact of the blizzard will spill over into Tuesday for school districts in eastern Montgomery County.

School districts have released their plans for school on Tuesday in the wake of a weekend storm that dumped between a foot and over 20 inches of snow in some parts of eastern Montgomery County.

Here's the list of what school districts have planned for Tuesday:

  • Abington School District — Abington School District schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay on Tuesday. Students are to report to their bus stops or schools two hours later than their usually scheduled time. Before-school care provided by the YMCA will not operate.
  • Cheltenham School District — The Cheltenham School District schools and offices will open two hours later on Tuesday. Buses will arrive two hours later than normal. Right at School will be closed in the morning, and morning EASTERN students are excused.
  • Hatboro-Horsham School District — The Hatboro-Horsham School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday. The delay will provide additional time for plowing, salting, and preparation of school campuses to support safe travel for students, staff, and families. Morning childcare services will begin at 8:30 a.m. School breakfast and lunch will be served. Essential employees, including maintenance and custodial personnel, will receive direction from their supervisor.
  • Jenkintown School District — It was unknown what plans were in effect for The Jenkintown School District on Tuesday.
  • Upper Dublin School District — It was unknown what plans were in effect for the Upper Dublin School District on Tuesday.
  • Upper Moreland Township School District — All Upper Moreland schools and offices will hold a virtual learning day (FID) on Tuesday.
