See How Montco School Districts Stack Up In New Ranking

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —Schools in Montgomery County are among those ranked as the best in Pennsylvania in Niche’s 2025 Best Schools and Districts rankings released this week.

According to the rankings, the Lower Merion School District led all Montgomery County schools with an A+ ranking.

The Top 10 school districts in Montgomery County are:

1. Lower Merion School District, A+
2. Spring-Ford Area School District, A+
3. Wissahickon School District, A+
4. Colonial School District, A+
5. School District of Upper Dublin, A
6. Perkiomen Valley School District, A
7. Lower Moreland Township School District, A
8. Jenkintown School District, A
9. Upper Merion Area School District, A
10. Methacton Area School District, A

The rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni, and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, and facilities.
