Shooting Under Investigation In Abington Twp.

Abington Township Police said the shooting happened inside a Pershing Avenue home in Roslyn Friday morning.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Abington Township Police Department is investigating a shooting early Friday morning in a home in the township's Roslyn section.

Abington Township police officers responded just before 9 a.m. Friday to a reported shooting that occurred inside a home in the 2500 block of Pershing Avenue in the Roslyn section of the township.

Police said an adult was shot in the leg during a domestic dispute.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Action News reported that the shooter was an 80-year-old man who shot his 40-year-old son.

The shooter was taken into custody and transported to Abington Police Department.

Police did not name the suspect or provide the gender of the shooting victim.

Police said the incident is under investigation, the scene is secure and that there is no danger to the public.
