Shoplifting Teenager Bit 2 Abington Officers: Police

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —An 18-year-old woman faces numerous charges including aggravated assault after she was accused of biting two officers during an arrest earlier this month, police said.

Sani Reed, 18, was among five women who police said swiped 54 items valued at $1,899 from Dick's Sporting Goods on Moreland Road around 7:26 p.m. on May 18. The items were concealed in several bags.

Reed was found with some of the stolen goods, police said.

Police said Reed resisted arrest and became verbally non-compliant.

She then allegedly bit two police officers while being taken to the ground before she was apprehended.

The two officers were hospitalized for minor injuries, police said.
