Ujima Life Services is a community-rooted mental health and wellness practice based in Cheltenham, PA. The name Ujima comes from a Swahili principle meaning collective work and responsibility, reflecting the belief that individual well-being and community well-being are deeply connected. Ujima Life Services provides individual, couples, and group counseling for adolescents and adults, along with non-clinical wellness groups and educational offerings facilitated by licensed clinicians. Services are grounded in evidence-based mental health care while honoring the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and environment. In addition to therapy services, Ujima offers community wellness groups and workshops focused on stress reduction, emotional resilience, life transitions, and personal growth. ALL profits from the rummage sale are distributed to organizations in the Glenside community and globally. Past recipients have been: Laurel House (shelter for victims of domestic abuse); Horizontal Haiti; Boy Scout Troop 48; Feast for Justice food pantry; Mwangaza School in Tanzania; and the Breathing Room.
