Stabbing Reported At Willow Grove Park Mall

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A suspect is in custody following a stabbing at the Willow Grove Park Mall on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The Abington Township Police Department responded to the mall off Welsh Road at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said the incident involved an assault regarding a knife in which a man stabbed a woman.

Police said a man stabbed a woman near a jewelry store and then fled the scene, running through the Bloomingdale’s store, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.

Abington Police said the suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to the community.

The woman sustained injuries, which are unknown at this time, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police did not reveal the identities of the man or the woman.
