EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —State Rep. Ben Sanchez has outlined his goals for his fourth term representing the 153rd Legislative District.

With the Pennsylvania House holding its first full session next week, Sanchez said he wanted to reaffirm his commitment to make the Commonwealth "a better, safer place for all Pennsylvanians."

"Since my first term, I’ve fought for commonsense firearm safety measures, equal protections for marginalized populations such as LGBTQ people, environmental conservation, workers' rights and fair pay, and accessible health care without the burden of medical debt —and these are priorities that I will continue to advocate for," Sanchez said.

Sanchez said he will also defend reproductive freedom in the wake of Roe v Wade’s 52nd anniversary this week.

"Abortion is still safe and legal here in Pennsylvania, whether you’re a resident or not, and I will always vote to keep it that way," Sanchez said.

Sanchez said that throughout this legislative session, it’s more important than ever "to work toward these goals and thwart any attempts that seek to strip away rights, undermine progress or turn back the clock on decades of hard-won advancements."

Sanchez was sworn in for his fourth term at the beginning of the month to serve the 153rd Legislative District., which includes Abington Township, Upper Dublin Township, and Rockledge Borough.

"Representing you in our Commonwealth’s Capitol is not a responsibility that I take lightly," Sanchez said. "I remain committed to standing against extremism from all branches of government and ensuring that our state laws reflect the values of fairness, inclusion, and opportunity for all."
