Stormwater Work To Impact Busy Abington Road For 2 Weeks
PennDOT said a busy Abington Township road will have lane closures for two weeks starting next week. See closure details here.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Stormwater facility replacement work will impact travel on a busy Abington Township road for two weeks, according to PennDOT.
Starting Monday, Oct. 16, weekday lane closures will be in place on Susquehanna Road between Westmont Avenue and Easton Road.
Closures will be in effect Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work is expected to be completed by Friday, Oct. 27.
This work is part of a $14.9 million project to improve stormwater management and facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
