ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The township has become the latest Montgomery County community to issue a burn ban due to recent brush fires in the region due to dry conditions.

The Abington Township Fire Marshal has issued a 30-day burn ban that went into effect on Friday.

The ban prohibits any recreational fires, bonfires, or fireworks.
