Why are you seeking a position in local government?
My wife and I moved to Abington twenty years ago to raise our family. Our two children, who are
now young adults, grew up in this wonderful community. Public service is a way for me to give
back to a community that has given us so much and to ensure that Abington remains a place
that people want to call home, raise their families and make memories that will last a lifetime.
What are your qualifications/experience?
I have had the great fortune to service this community two different times and in two different
locations. I was elected to two terms as Ward 10 Commissioner and served from January of
2014 through August of 2018. During that time, I served as Chair of the Pension Committee,
Vice Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Public Works Committee.
After moving to Meadowbrook in 2018 into a home that was suited for my wife (she has battled
multiple sclerosis for more than 20 years), I was elected Ward 1 Commissioner and began
serving in my current role in January of 2020. During the past four years, I served as Board Vice
President (January 2020 through December 2021) and currently serve as Board President.

What are three main issues you plan to take on in office?
During the past year, the Board formally adopted a strategic plan and a master plan for our
parks and recreation facilities. Implementation of those plans in 2024 is a key priority. I also
want to continue our important work with the Abington Police Department to ensure they have
the resources necessary to keep the community safe. We will continue to steward taxpayer
dollars to keep taxes low while maintaining the level of service that recently led to Abington
being named as one of the 50 best communities in America.
Who are elected official or political/community leaders who inspire you?
I have long been inspired by the leadership of Governor Shapiro. I have never seen a
harder working or more effective public servant. We are proud that Ward 1 is home to
the Governor and his family.
What are some other personal information details you want voters to know about you ahead of the election?
The most important thing in the world to me is family. My wife of 28 years, Janella, is my
foundation and it is amazing to watch our two young adult children chart their own paths.
