Underground Stormwater Project Closing Jenkintown Road

JENKINTOWN, PA —Washington Lane will be closed between Vernon Road and Greenwood Avenue starting Monday and lasting through the week, officials said.

The road closure is required for the safety of the public and construction workers installing the underground stormwater crossings, officials said.

The road will be closed from Monday through Friday.

The multi-municipal project is being funded largely through grants and will improve the stormwater run-off controls, pedestrian safety/walkability, and traffic controls at this intersection and in this general area shared by the municipalities, officials said.

Officials are asking residents to plan an alternate route during the closure.
