Walnut Street Section Closing For 2 Days

JENKINTOWN BOROUGH, PA —A section of Walnut Street will be closed for several hours over the next few days, borough officials said.
Starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Walnut Street will be closed from Summit Avenue to Greenwood Avenue to through traffic so that PECO's Contractor, Danella, can safely upgrade the gas main, borough officials said.
The temporary daytime closure occurs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Property owners, residents, and business owners in this area will have access to their properties during this time but can expect intermittent delays.
The project to install about 100' of gas main is expected to be completed in two days (weather/circumstances permitting).
