WATCH: Massive Sinkhole Nearly Swallows Two Homes in Montgomery County: Reports
BREAKING: A massive sinkhole has opened up in Montgomery County, nearly swallowing two homes.

A massive sinkhole opened up in the Glenside section of Cheltenham Township on Wednesday morning, nearly swallowing a home completely, according to multiple media reports.
6ABC reports that a pickup truck is teetering on the edge of the hole and that residents from the surrounding neighborhood have been evacuated.
The hole, on the 700 block of Brooke Road, covers a swath of the yards immediately in front of two homes.

It may have been caused by a six-inch water main break that has left up to 40 homes without water, according to Aqua America. Customers will likely be without water service for the rest of the day.
It is not yet clear if the sinkhole was caused by the break, or the sinkhole led to the break, or if some other factor was involved, authorities said.
