Willow Grove Mall Adopts Parental Supervision Policy
Those under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during certain times starting Tuesday.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Willow Grove Park Mall is implementing a new policy aimed to crack down on unruly teens causing trouble for shoppers.
Willow Grove Park's Parental Supervision Policy will be in effect starting Tuesday. The goal is to provide a secure and family-friendly shopping environment, according to mall representatives.
Willow Grove Park shoppers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 21 years or older on Monday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m. and on Sunday starting at 3 p.m. or at any other time the policy is in effect.

The policy is in effect for the entire mall, including the parking lots and garages, mall walkways, and any corridor leading to the mall except stores with exterior entrances.

- Security personnel are responsible for enforcing this policy and the procedures. Security will begin monitoring those entering the center starting at 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
- Unescorted youth shopping after 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday must leave the mall or be joined by a parent or guardian.
- One parent, over 21 years of age, may escort all his/her children. Additionally, one parent or guardian, over 21 years of age, may escort up to four youths, at least one of the youths must be the child of the parent or guardian.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the actions of the escorted youth.
- Proof of age will be required if the age of the youth and/or parent or legal guardian is not easily determined. Those whose age cannot be determined and who lack identification will be asked to leave the property.
- Acceptable identification is a photo ID from a state agency, school, or employer that shows date of birth.
- Individuals utilizing public or other forms of transportation must schedule their departure time to ensure compliance with the Parental Supervision Policy.
- Individuals in violation of the Willow Grove Park Parental Supervision Policy or the mall Code of Conduct who refuse to leave the mall when requested to do so by mall security officers may be prosecuted for trespassing.
- Youth under 18 working in the mall will be allowed to access without parent or legal guardian, proof of work status will be required, and employees must go directly to place of employment and must leave the mall at the conclusion of their work shift, if after 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday or 3 p.m. on Sunday and/or at any other time the policy is in effect.
- The Willow Grove Park Parental Supervision Policy guidelines are posted at all mall entrances.
