WINK Optical Kicks off Opening at October 28 Ribbon Cutting; Supports Quality of Life Improvements Through Eyewear Advances
"We are proud to continue our tradition of small business ownership within the community," said owner Norma Messinger Meshkov.

Once upon a time, eyeglasses were considered a necessary evil. Today they are a both a lifestyle enhancement and high-fashion accessory. After all, life is better when you can see well and feel good about being seen by others. Yet, is it possible to secure exclusive frame lines and expert fittings in a welcoming, non-pressure setting? WINK Optical, new in Jenkintown, is committed to doing just that.
While the name might be new, the family launching WINK Optical is no stranger to the eyewear profession or to the Jenkintown community. The Messinger Family, founders of Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs, have been rooted in the region since 1888, and have been delivering stellar eyewear for five generations. WINK Optical continues that legacy.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of small business ownership within the community,” said owner Norma Messinger Meshkov, whose father, grandfather, and great grandfather who were optometrists and wholesale optical lab managers. “The technology and fashion of eyewear have evolved so much and we are committed to educating patients about how these advances can really improve their quality of life.”
