Woman Guilty Of Killing Parents, Ex-Judge Dies: Eastern Montco News
A Rydal woman pleaded "guilty but mentally ill" to killing and dismembering her parents and now will serve life in prison, authorities said.
EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —A Rydal woman has pleaded guilty for killing and dismembering her parents. Meanwhile, the longtime district justice for Horsham Township has passed away.

Montco Woman Gets Life In Prison For Killing Parents
After several trial delays, the Rydal woman charged with killing and dismembering her parents last year has pleaded guilty. Verity Beck pled “guilty but mentally ill” to both first-degree murder counts in Montgomery County court on Monday and was sentenced to life in prison. She will receive mental health treatment in prison, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said. An insanity defense had been planned by her attorneys. (Read More)

Man Who Escaped Horsham Clinic Captured: Police
The alerts went out to residents in the township and nearby Upper Dublin Township late Thursday night —a man with a history of violence had escaped the Horsham Clinic in Horsham Township. Residents received texts and recorded phone calls about a man who had left the Horsham Clinic, a mental health clinic at 722 E. Butler Pike around 8 p.m. Thursday. (Read More)

The Horsham Township Police Department is investigating two recent incidents of indecent exposure on the same day. Horsham Police seek a man after reports on Sept. 26 that two people had witnessed two separate indecent exposure incidents. The first occurred around 8:55 p.m. on Sept. 25 in the shopping center parking lot at 100 Welsh Rd. The second incident occurred on the same date around 9 p.m. in the parking lot of 720 Blair Mill Rd. (Read More)
