LEBANON, PA — Two children were among three people killed Tuesday night in a shooting at a home in the Pennsylvania town of Lebanon, according to police. A fourth victim was also injured in the shooting.
At a news conference Wednesday, Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello said the victims were ages 8 and 9 and were students in the Lebanon School District. A 19-year-old was also killed, Capello said.
The fourth victim, a 33-year-old man, is recovering in the hospital following surgery, Capello said.

"First let me start with the obvious: These shootings are unacceptable," Capello said. "As a mom, I cannot overstate how heartbroken I am for these families. ... As the mayor, I am heartbroken for our community."
According to Lebanon police, officers were called to a home for reported gunshots. When they arrived, they found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, while two others died at nearby hospitals.
Police did not immediately release the victims' identities. According to Lebanon Police Chief Bret Fisher, one of the victims was the target of the shooting while the others were uninvolved.
A person of interest is in custody, though Fisher said the person was arrested on an unrelated charge.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families," Fisher said.
