2 Dead After Plane Crashes In Pennsylvania: Coroner

EDENSBURG, PA — A small plane crash killed two people Sunday in Pennsylvania, authorities said.

The twin-engine Piper PA-30 went down in a wooded area near Edensburg Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Edensburg is about 70 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Both people aboard the plane were pronounced dead at the scene, says Cambria County Coroner Jeffrey Lees. The plane was reported missing Sunday morning and located at about 2:30 p.m. that day, Lees told reporters.

Officials haven't publicly disclosed the victims' names as of Monday afternoon. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the incident.
