3 Killed, Dozens Injured In Dauphin County Bus Crash: State Police
The bus overturned in Lower Paxton Township near mile marker 74 on I-81 late Sunday night, WHTM reported.

LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Three passengers are dead and dozens of others injured after a charter bus crashed late Sunday night in Lower Paxton Township in Dauphin County, according to state police.
The crash occurred after the bus, which was carrying up to 50 people, drove off the roadway during heavy rainfall, according to a crash report. It then struck an embankment and rolled onto its right side before hitting the back of a car that was stopped in the right lane of traffic, the report said.
The three passengers were declared dead at the scene and others suffered injuries that ranged from minor to severe, the police report said.

The bus was traveling from New York, The Associated Press reported. The crash occurred around 11:49 p.m. on Interstate 81 at mile marker 74, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Megan Frazer said in a news release.
Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center received 28 patients from the crash, spokesperson Scott Gilbert said in an email to The Associated Press. As of Monday morning, two people were admitted as inpatients, 16 were being treated in the emergency department and 10 had been discharged. He said the hospital was told several other people were taken to another hospital.

The identities of the owner and driver of the bus have not been released.
The names of the victims are being held pending next of kin notifications, Trooper Frazer said.
