6 Killed On PA Highways Over Easter Weekend: State Police
Pennsylvania State Police said the holiday weekend saw 407 crashes, 46 of which involved drugs or alcohol, and six of which were fatal.

PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania State Police were busy throughout the commonwealth over the Easter holiday weekend, dealing with hundreds of crashes, several fatalities and hundreds of DUI arrests.
According to state police, the weekend — Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31, saw 407 total crashes.
Of those 407 crashes, 46 involved drugs or alcohol, police said.

Six people died in these holiday weekend crashes, two of which were DUI related. Fatal crashes occurred in the following locations:
- Bradford Township, Clearfield County, March 31.
- Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, March 29.
- Colebrookdale Township, Berks County, March 29.
- East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, March 30.
- Monroe Township, Cumberland County, March 31.
- Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, March 30.
Ninety people were hurt in the crashes.

As for enforcement efforts, state police made 358 DUI arrests. Police issued 5,285 speeding citations, 90 child seat citations, 557 seat belt citations, and 11,236 other citations.
