5 Billionaires In PA Among Richest Americans: New Forbes List
Globally, there are now more billionaires than ever — and they're richer than ever, according to Forbes.
PENNSYLVANIA — Billionaire Jeff Yass has once again been named the wealthiest person in Pennsylvania in 2024, according to The Forbes 400, an annual ranking of America’s super-rich.
Globally, there are now more billionaires than ever — 2,781 in all, 141 more than last year, and 26 more than the record set in 2021 — and they're richer than ever, according to Forbes.
Much of the gain comes from the United States, "which now boasts a record 813 billionaires worth a combined $5.7 trillion," the outlet added.

Forbes said its net worth calculations use stock prices from March 8.
Yass, a 65-year-old former pro gambler and current trading and investments titan who cofounded Susquehanna International Group, now has an estimated net worth of $27.6 billion.

That's down from last year's $28.5 billion but way up from from $12 billion in 2021 and 2022, the Forbes report says. He comes in at No. 64 on Forbes' list.
The other Pennsylvanians who made the top 400 are as follows:
- Michael Rubin
- No. 173
- Net worth: 11.5 billion
Rubin is a native of Bryn Mawr who sold his company GSI Commerse to eBay for 2.4 billion and is the CEO of Fanatics.
- Victoria Mars
- No. 242
- Net worth: $9.6 billion
Mars and her three sisters are heirs to the candy company Mars. Inc, which also sells pet food.
- Thomas Hagen
- No. 344
- Net worth: $7.6 billion
Hagen, from Erie, is the chairman of Insurance company Erie Indemnity.
- Arthur Dantchik
- No. 391
- Net worth: $7 billion
Dantchik, from Gladwyne, is the co-founder of Susquehanna International Group.
Globally, Bernard Arnault and family topped the list of 400 with a net worth of $233 billion. Arnault oversees the LVMH empire of 75 fashion and cosmetics brands, including Louis Vuitton and Sephora.
For the second and third spot, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk — owner of the social media platform X — and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are neck and neck, with Musk at $195 billion and Bezos at $194 billion. In fourth is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at $177 billion, then in fifth is Oracle software development company founder Larry Ellison at $141 billion.
